About us

Builder Night is a weekly in-person meetup in Santa Cruz, California, operated by Songline, Inc., a California corporation. Sol Lipman is the authorized contact for Songline, Inc.

This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

We collect information you give us directly:

• Your phone number, if you text our number to ask about Builder Night or sign up for reminders
• Your email address, if you sign up for “the flips” newsletter on buildernight.co
• Your name, if you give it to us

We do not collect this information from third parties. We do not buy or sell contact lists.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Reply to questions about Builder Night
• Send reminders, schedule updates, and event information you’ve asked for
• Send the newsletter you signed up for

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than what you contacted us about.

SMS and WhatsApp messaging

If you text or message our phone number, your messages are processed by Twilio (our messaging provider) and Anthropic (our AI assistant provider) so we can respond. These providers act on our behalf and under their own privacy policies:

Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages, or HELP for assistance.

Sharing

We do not share your information with third parties except:

• Service providers (above) acting on our behalf
• When required by law

We do not sell your information.

Data retention

We keep message and contact information for as long as you remain opted in, plus a reasonable period after for our records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

You can:

• Ask what information we have about you
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Opt out of messages at any time (reply STOP)

Children

Builder Night is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this URL.
